CORE VALUES

The core values are beliefs and essential principles that King’s Christian School has declared as guidance for the fulfillment of its mission, the exercise of leadership and decision-making in the institution.

Following is a list of the up to date values and their description:

We Focus on The Word of God

We base all of our institutional work in the absolute truth of God, expressed in His Word, which is inspired, infallible and perfect; for it created all that exists.  We believe the Bible is the Word of God, centered on the Lord Jesus Christ and His redemptive work, basis of all science, wisdom and knowledge, and useful to form a generation rooted in faith in Christ. (Psalm 33: 4, 6; II Tim. 3: 15-17; John 6:63, 17:17; Luke 24:27; Colossians 2: 3, 6-7; II Peter 1: 19-21).

We Provide a Christ-centered Education

It is our priority to contribute to the integral formation of students. A Christ -centered education integrates faith in the teaching-learning process and is based on the centrality and authority of Jesus Christ, who has the preeminence in all that we say and do. Through this, we prepare our students so that they can think and live as disciples of Jesus Christ, impacting society and giving glory to His name (Luke 2:52; John 14: 6; I Corinthians 3:11; Colossians 1: 15-20, 2: 2-3, 2: 6-10, 3:23; Deuteronomy 6: 4-9).

We Strive for Excellence

God has called us to be brave and do our best in everything we do. We understand excellence as a continuous improvement process, having as a priority the overall development of students, looking for everyone to be spiritually formed and to develop their full potential through a program of high academic rigor. As a promise of value, we exercise a community of grace in which we strive to glorify God in both the academic and the administrative management (I Corinthians 10:31; Colossians 3: 23-24; Ephesians 4: 14-15; II Timothy 3:14; Proverbs 3: 5-6, 22: 6; II Timothy 2:15; Luke 2:52; Deuteronomy 6: 6-9).

We Serve with Joy

Service is a command from God that involves all of our doing. We are called to serve God and others with love, humility and joy, following the model of Jesus Christ. As an educational institution, we encourage our educational community to be servant-leaders and to work as a team. We provide opportunities for our students to serve others by practicing mercy, justice, and solidarity as fundamental aspects of Christian character, and thus, fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 20: 28, 28:19; John 13: 14-16; Ephesians 4:12; Colossians 3: 23-24; Philippians 2: 3-4; I Corinthians 12: 1-31; Micah 6: 8).

We evidence Integrity

The Word of God commands us to walk uprightly, showing consistency between what we think, say, and do, before the measure of the character of Christ. This is why we are always adhered to moral and spiritual rectitude, and in this directions we instruct and guide by example to our students and our staff (Proverbs 4:23, 6: 16-19, 10: 9, 11: 3.5; 23: 7; Ephesians 4:13; Matthew 7:12; Ps. 15: 1-2, 84:11; I John 2: 6; Zechariah 8: 16-17).

We Model Stewardship

Stewardship is an integral concept that is based on the lordship of Jesus Christ. As servants, we seek first to give ourselves primarily to Him and to be found faithful in our time administration, human capital, material resources, finances, spirituality, and in the talents God gives us. We should also be found faithful in the administration of justice, decision-making, compliance with our personal duties and financial commitments, recognizing that we will have to give account to Him (Luke 12: 42-44, 19: 12-26; Matthew 25: 15-30; Ephesians 5: 15-16; II Cor 8:3-5; I Cor 4:1-2).
